The Wildsea

In the world of the Wildsea, civilization sails atop a boundless canopy of tangled trees, fungal blooms, and living rootwork. Centuries after a verdant apocalypse swallowed the world, daring crews now explore the rustling waves in saw-prowed ships, trading, salvaging, and chasing stories lost to the leaves.

Play as strange, vivid characters — mothfolk dreamweavers, cactus-hulled giants, sentient shipwrecks, fungal pirates, and spider colonies in human shape. Navigate storms of pollen, whispering ruins, and the secrets of the sea-green deep.

How to play The Wildsea

The Wildsea is a tabletop RPG where you sail ships through a massive, living forest canopy.

Your Character: You create a unique “wildsailor” by choosing your Bloodline (species), Origin (background), and Post (role), all defined by descriptive Traits.

How to Act: When you try something challenging, you’ll roll a pool of six-sided dice (d6s) depending on the use of you edges, aspects and environment. 1, 2, and 3 is a failure, 4 and 5 a success with a drawback, and 6 on a die means a triumph. Even in failure, the story will keep moving in interesting ways.

Your Ship: Your vessel is vital! You’ll need to maintain and repair it as you navigate the tree-sea and its dangers.

The Game: It’s all about exploration, discovery, and survival as you journey between “peaks” (safe settlements) and delve into the unknown depths of the sea of trees. The GM sets the scene and you collaboratively tell the story, making choices that shape your adventure.
